The Faculty of Law as a study program that provides undergraduate degrees was established on November 29, 1965, based on a Decree of the Minister of Higher Education and Science Number: 13/dar Year 1965 about the change of Res Republica into Universitas Trisakti and the Establishment of Presidium Ad Interim for the respected university, and Decree of the Minister of Higher Education and Science Number: 014/dar Year 1965 about the reopening of Universitas Res Republica under the name of Universitas Trisakti. Based on the Rector of Universitas Trisakti Decree Number: 069/Usakti/SKR/VII/1986, The Faculty of Law has implemented an undergraduate education program with Semester Credit System (SKS). The development of UPPS was commenced by Accreditation Certificate Number: 00439/AK.I. I/UT-CIHK/VIII/1998 published by the Department of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia with predicate A (Excellent). Then in 2003 (Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education, Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 036/BAN-PT/S1/X/2003) and in 2008 (Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education Number: 027/BAN-PT/Ak-XI /S1/X/2008), and in 2013 (Decree of the National Ministry of Higher Education National Accreditation Board Number 227/SK/BAN-PT/AK-XVI/S/XI/2013 dated November 9, 2013) has obtained accreditation with qualification A. In 2018, through the Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education, Ministry of National Education No. 1288/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/V/2018, the Jurisprudence Study Program of The Faculty of Law Usakti was accredited with qualification A. With gratitude to God Almighty, the Law Study Program at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti has obtained the 2020 ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Certification.
The Dean, who is assisted by Vice Deans I, II, III, and IV, leads the organizational work procedures. The Bachelor of Law Study Program is chaired by a Study Program Head and Study Program Secretary. It has eight Divisions. Each division is chaired by a Division Head who is assisted by a Division Secretary. The Division is a forum for groups of lecturers in one branch of science who are academics and also carry out the management of academic resources for developing the relevant branch of science and its facilities. There are 7 (seven) specialization programs available for students to choose from according to their interests, talents, and academic abilities.
Education and teaching at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti implements the Semester Credit System that refers to national and international standards. The study program organized by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti is the Undergraduate Law Study Program (S1) which uses the Thesis path with a weight of 148 credits. The study period is 8 (eight) to 14 (fourteen) semesters. For outstanding students, it is possible to finish in 7 (seven) semesters.
Regular
The regular program is a learning program that divides one academic year into two semesters, namely odd and even semesters. This program is also known as the lecture program commonly held in all tertiary institutions. This program refers to the regular semester. Each semester, a schedule for implementing academic activities is set for a minimum of 16 (sixteen) weeks and can be adjusted as needed. This period includes implementing lectures, practices, other educational support activities, and assessment or evaluation activities. There is an opportunity for outstanding students to obtain scholarships in academic and non-academic fields such as sports, arts and culture, and reasoning.
